Letter From The CEO

Dear Youth Sports Participant,

I would first like to thank you for visiting our site. TheSportsCoach.com is a true labor of love for all those involved from the tech guys all the way to the incredible coaches who provide the instructional content that our members enjoy and benefit from.

I've been involved in the game of baseball for the better part of the last 34 years, first as a player, then a coach and now as the parent of a young and enthusiastic ball player. In the course of my journey, I was exceptionally lucky in that I had the opportunity to play in two College World Series, play professional baseball, albeit for only one glorious summer, and to work with athletes ranging from the kid down the street to accomplished professional athletes at the big league level. As I said, "I've been lucky."

Those experiences led me to the idea of creating a web site that would enabl today's players, parents and coaches to "rub shoulders," so to speak, with some of the most accomplished coaches and players in their respective sports as I've been so fortunate to have been able to do. This in turn, will enable the members of this site to share in the information that has allowed these coaches and players to be so successful.

So the question is this; how often does a young player, parent or coach have the opportunity to sit down and speak and learn from greats like a "Tony Gwynn" or a "Sue Enquist" or a "Steve Sampson?" The answer was pretty obvious... never. So, as a way to change the answer from never to whenever, we came up with TheSportsCoach.com. Click here to check out our remarkable coaching staff.

The site is FREE to register and use on an unlimited basis. At the beginning, the site will offer instruction in Baseball, Soccer and Softball with multiple coaches in each sport to pull information from. Please remember that we're currently operating in a beta-test environment, so be patient while we work on making your visits more enjoyable and more valuable. We have plans to integrate video lessons, live online chat sessions with our coaches, games for the young ones that will be both entertaining and educational, advanced interactive training programs, coaching certification programs, mobile applications and a whole lot more!

The instructional information in site ranges from youth league all the way up to college level information. As a matter of fact, all of the information in the site could fill a book 5 inches thick!
